Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the chemical, mineralogical and elemental composition of various types of ores of the Bittibulag copper-arsenic deposit. As is known, the Republic of Azerbaijan is rich in natural resources. Gold, silver, copper, iron, limestone, oil, gas, etc. are extracted from mineral deposits located in the territory of our republic. Mineral deposits are mainly exploited by open and underground methods. In addition, underwater and geotechnological methods are also successfully applied in the process of exploitation of deposits. One of the solid mineral deposits located in our country is the Bittibulag copper-arsenic deposit. The Bittibulag deposit has great potential for arsenic reserves in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The article provides general information about the deposit, shows the chemical, mineralogical and elemental composition of the ores. The results are discussed at the end of the article. As a result of the study of test samples, it was found that the amount of arsenic varies over a very wide range. The highest amount of this element in the studied samples is 25151 ppm, and the lowest is 454 ppm. A significant amount of a number of rare elements was found in the composition of the test samples.
